First Aid

The American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid course is a comprehensive program that teaches students how to provide First Aid to victims of all ages, including relief of choking and management of various issues such as bloody nose, cuts, heart attack, stroke, and heat exhaustion. Instruction is provided on how to recognize life-threatening emergencies and basic First Aid techniques. The course is open to anyone who wants to obtain or is required to have the knowledge and skills taught at this level. Upon successful completion of the skills demonstration, students will receive their Heartsaver First Aid course completion card, which is valid for two years. The course typically takes between 3-4 hours to complete and is an important step in developing the skills and knowledge necessary to respond to medical emergencies in a timely and effective manner.

CPR/AED and First Aid

Combination: CPR/AED and First Aid
Length of Class: up to 4.5 – 5 hours
Includes: Adult Child and Infant training
Certification: American Heart Association Two Year Certification
Course Meets: State, Federal and OSHA Requirements

The First Aid and  CPR/AED course is designed to teach students CPR for victims of all ages, use the automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of choking. Instruction is given on recognition of life threatening emergencies and basic CPR techniques. It is available to anyone desiring, or required, to obtain the knowledge and skills taught at this level. Upon successful completion of skills demonstration, students will receive their Heartsaver®  CPR/AED course completion card which is valid for two years.
